January

The New Years celebrations may be winding down but the summer party is only just beginning. Also in South Brisbane comes Paniyiri, Australia's largest Greek Festival.

June is great for the kids as the Out of the Box Festival comes to the city, which is Australia’s leading arts and cultural festival for ages 3 to 8. The highlight is the puppet shows along with all sorts of other funny and entertaining shows and performances. For film buffs the Brisbane International Film Festival also has its annual gathering.

July

Fine wine and good living is stressed in July when the Brisbane Fine Wine Festival comes to the Grande Chelsea Ballroom.

August

The Ekka, otherwise known as Royal Queensland Show is a great form of family entertainment during the middle of the month. A mixture between a travelling circus, fairground, carnival and entertainment show there is definitely something for everyone.
